Navi Radjou is a New York-based innovation and leadership scholar who advises senior executives worldwide on breakthrough growth strategies. A Fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, Navi has served as vice president at Forrester Research, a leading technology research and advisory firm in Boston. In 2013, Navi won the prestigious Thinkers50 Innovation Award – given to a management thinker who is re-shaping the way we think about and practice innovation. He delivered a talk at TED Global 2014 on frugal innovation (nearly 2 million views).

Navi co-authored Frugal Innovation: How To Do Better With Less, published by The Economist in 2015, as well as the global bestseller Jugaad Innovation (over 250,000 copies sold worldwide) and From Smart To Wise. He will publish his next book Conscious Society: Redefining Who We Are, Reinventing How We Consume, Work, Relate, and Live in 2021. He is a sought-after keynote speaker and widely quoted in international media. Born and raised in Pondicherry, India, he holds dual French-American citizenship. He attended Ecole Centrale Paris and Yale School of Management. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. He is a life-long student of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vipassana meditation.

Dr. Robert Phaal is Director of Research, Institute for Manufacturing, Department of Engineering (STIM, CUED) at the University of Cambridge. Dr Phaal’s research addresses strategic technology and innovation management challenges in companies and other organisations. Frameworks, processes and methods for integrating technological and commercial considerations are explored. And also the development and application of management tools and toolkits to support decision-making in technology intensive sectors is of his particular interest. The strategic technology roadmapping approach has been a focus of his activities since 1998, as a method for aligning technology and commercial strategy. Efficient multifunctional workshop methods have been developed and applied in a diverse range of sectors and situations. The holistic nature of the roadmapping framework provides a platform for integrating management processes and tools. Rther related areas of interest include the emergence of technology-based industries, technology intelligence, acquisition, marketing, evaluation and systems integration, together with the role of visualisation in supporting communication of innovation and technology strategy.

Dr. Dariush Rafinejad has had over 30 years of experience as a senior executive in high-tech industries in Silicon Valley. He was a Corporate Vice President at both Applied Materials and Lam Research, both multi-billion dollar semiconductor equipment companies. Prior to PGS, he was Associate Professor, Consulting at Stanford University. He has also served as adjunct faculty at Haas Business School at Berkeley and Dean of Management at Menlo College in Atherton, California. Dr. Rafinejad is the founding CEO of Blue Dome Consulting serving high tech companies in the U.S. and China to develop product innovation and organizational leadership capability. He has authored several publications including two books on product innovation. His recent book was published in 2017 and is titled: Sustainable Product Innovation – Entrepreneurship for Human Well-Being.

Prof. Wim Vanhaverbeke is Professor Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Surrey Business School (UK) and is visiting professor at ESADE Business School and till recently also at the National University of Singapore. He published in different international journals such as Organization Science, Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management, California Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Small Business Economics, Journal of Business Venturing, Technovation, etc. He was co-editor with Henry Chesbrough and Joel West of “Open Innovation: Researching a New Paradigm” (OUP, 2006) and “New frontiers in open innovation” (OUP, 2014). He published a management book “Managing open innovation in SMEs” (CUP – 2017). He is a dedicated open innovation and innovation ecosystem researcher collaborating with different partners around the globe. His current research focuses​​ on the implications of ​​digital strategies​and sustainability requirements for the management of innovation ecosystems. He established the European Innovation Forum with Henry Chesbrough in 2012 and is co-organizer of the World Open Innovation Conference 2016. He is a frequently asked speaker at leading international conferences and an adviser for several globally operating companies. He consults and organizes workshops for multinationals and technology companies.

Prof. Mammo Muchie is currently a DST-NRF research chair in Innovation Studies at the Faculty of Management Sciences, Tshwane University of Technology and a C rated research Professor. Prof Muchie is collaborating with researchers (DILIC) on the potential research areas of Africa-China industrial high-technology sectors. He has been invited as Associate Faculty professor at Sussex University, UK for the next three years; at the University of Economics in Prague as visiting professor, Jawarahal Nehru University in India, Tonji and Shanghai University in China; Honorary Professor Jiaxing University in China, Assistant Professor Amsterdam University, Visiting Professor Carleton College in the USA; Principal Lecturer Middlesex University, Professor Aalborg University; Part–time Lecturer, Cambridge University. He was part of the founding members of the Globelics initiative to start the new relationship between Northern and Southern researchers by focusing research on the challenges of building African innovation systems. Thus Africa has been put first in highlighting the Globelics foundation of a new field on Innovation and Development. Dr. Simone Corsi is Lecturer in International Business, Strategy and Innovation at Loughborough University. He managed the Manchester China Institute and was Associate Member at the Manchester Institute for Innovation Research, University of Manchester. Simone conducts research in the field of innovation studies. He has a research background in R&D and Innovation Management and has been looking into global innovation and reverse innovation dynamics, with a focus on China. More recently he has developed an interest in international R&D alliances and university-industry collaboration. Prior to joining the University of Manchester, Simone was Research Fellow at the Lancaster University Management School, where he was also Programme Manager for the Lancaster China Catalyst Programme, a Lancaster University project which aimed at creating and supporting R&D partnerships between UK and Chinese organisations. During his time at Lancaster University Simone advised more than 60 UK SMEs on their China strategy. He obtained a PhD in Management from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa (Italy)(2012), he has been visiting doctoral researcher at Tongji University (2011) and is currently senior researcher at GLORAD, an international independent research network and think tank on Global R&D and Innovation.

Among others, she chaired the EC Advisory Group on H2020 “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation” (2014-2016) and was a member of the UN-ECE Team of Experts on Innovation and Competitiveness Policy since 2007. She currently chairs the Strategic Advisory Board of Imperial College’s Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering and is an Advisory Board member of the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU) and of the University-Industry Innovation Network (UIIN). She was an evaluator for several funding schemes of the EC and national innovation agencies in the Netherlands, Poland and Hungary, and is currently an evaluator in the European Universities Initiative project EUNIQ coordinated by NVAO and the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training.

Mohammad R. ARASTI is an associate professor of MOT at Graduate School of Management and Economics, Sharif University of Technology in Tehran-Iran. He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG) in France. His teaching and research activities focus on the areas of strategic management of technology, technology and innovation strategy and new product development. He is one the founders and the first president of Iranian Association for Management of Technology (IRAMOT). In 2014, he has founded the Center of Research in Technology and Innovation Management in Industrial Complex Systems (CRiTIMIX) at Sharif University of Technology. The center has been managed by him since then. Dr. Arasti has published several papers in international journals and conferences. He has also served as consultant in several public and private, large as well as small, organizations.
